Sister Hatch and her parents were very happy to see each other. It is especially great to see how the mothers greet their missionary.
We have taken two missionaries to their homes. The first was a sister missionary who went home to live with her sister in north Phnom Penh. When we arrived at her home (a small place with a dirt floor) her sister was not home. It was difficult to leave here there alone.
The other missionary lives in a small village outside of Phnom Penh. His family greeted him when he arrived. He was excited to see his home and family. On the way home he talked about how he looked forward to feeding his cow (see picture) and going into the fields to cut rice.
Elder and Sister Nelson arrived about a month ago. The custom here is for the senior couples who are available to go to the airport to greet them. We are glad that they are here. They live in an apartment that is just across the hall from us.
