After weeks of preparation and lots of immunizations we are ready to go. It seems there is much more for senior couples to accomplish before leaving the country than you would expect. So start early if this experience is in your future. We also would not know what to do if it weren't for the love and support of our children. We are leaving them, especially Scott, with a lot of responsibility for our affairs.
We will leave for Provo this Friday, August 1st and then enter the MTC on the 4th. We will be off to Cambodia the evening of August 17th and arrive there the 19th. I believe the flight there will be a test of our endurance. We have heard it is a 36 hour trip.
We had a great family vacation to Ginn Resorts in Orlando, Florida the first week of July with all twenty-six of us present. We visited many of the theme parks and the beach and just enjoyed the special time together. I believe the two days at Cocoa Beach were probably the Grandchildren's favorite as most of them learned to body surf.
We look forward to the months ahead and realize that there will be challenges...but know that with the Lords help, we need not fear...and most certainly we will talk about these experiences that are ahead with fondness for the rest of our lives.
